That said, the big allure of following all the speculation and rumors for me at least, is the possibility that Apple could deliver yet another device that is so innovative whose utility becomes obvious in retrospect, but was never before realized. It really will be amazing if they can do it again. I'm looking forward to seeing what Apple comes out with, but it could have any combination of qualities. Whatever it is, I think that the full impact won't hit us for several months, like the iPhone. The iPhone continues to become a life changing device for me, maybe even more than Tivo. I don't think it will replace a laptop. I can't see myself doing FileMaker development, for example, on a 7"-10" touchscreen. If it's an eBook, TV remote, Tivo, Netflix-streaming, Web-browsing computer, I'd be very interested.
