I do not have a bookmarks bar even after enabling bookmarks on iPad any ideas?

Adding the JS code is a little awkward, but it is the same process more or less as the way you'd do it on the iPhone.

Essentially you have to create a bookmark and then edit it and past in the JS code. As an example, Instapaper explains how to do it for that service here: http://www.instapaper.com/i__?Paste_here_and_re.... This same process applies for any JS shortcut.

That said, agree that Apple has an opportunity to make it easier.

I didn't see a way to actually add the JS link code within iPad Safari (I was testing for a while at a BestBuy). The only (pseudo) right-click menu option that shows on "touch & hold" is "Open" if I recall correctly.

I've seen the suggestion to either save bookmarklets on your desktop Safari and then sync in iTunes, or just now saw someone talking about emailing the JS link code to yourself:

Either way, very unsatisfying, hardly deserving of the name "solution". Really something Apple should fix soon with a "copy link location" and/or "bookmark link" right-click menu option.
